XCMG is expanding its presence in overseas construction and mining markets with a series of recent equipment deliveries across Africa, Southeast Asia, South America and Mozambique.
The Chinese construction machinery manufacturer has supplied more than 100 units of road construction equipment to Angola, nearly 300 crawler cranes to infrastructure projects in Southeast Asia, and 80 aerial work platforms to South America. In Mozambique, the company has also deployed a fully electric mining excavator, adding a new-energy solution to its overseas heavy equipment portfolio.
In Angola, the latest delivery includes equipment for crushing and screening, earthmoving and road construction. The package covers several stages of road development, from aggregate production through to paving. XCMG said the order represents the country's largest single procurement of conventional construction machinery in the past decade.
The company is also strengthening its position in Southeast Asia's infrastructure equipment market. Nearly 300 crawler cranes, including the XGC110A, XLC450, XLC90M3 and XLC60M3 models, have been delivered for major infrastructure projects. The large-scale order highlights continued demand for lifting equipment as construction activity increases across the region.
In South America, XCMG has shipped 80 aerial work platforms, including scissor lifts and articulated boom lifts, for infrastructure applications. The deliveries further extend the company's range of construction equipment supplied to overseas markets.
One of the more notable developments is in Mozambique, where XCMG has introduced the XE1350E fully electric mining excavator. The machine is designed for mining operations with zero tailpipe emissions and lower operating noise, while incorporating real-time fault monitoring technology.
The latest deliveries reflect a broader shift in the global heavy equipment market. Infrastructure development, road construction and mining projects continue to create demand for large construction machinery, while customers are increasingly looking at electric equipment and more efficient machine solutions.
For equipment manufacturers, overseas markets are becoming an increasingly important part of long-term growth. XCMG's latest projects show how Chinese construction equipment manufacturers are expanding beyond individual machine sales and moving toward complete equipment packages, localized services and solutions for specific infrastructure and mining applications.
